Sir Frank Bowden purchased an interest in a small bicycle company on Raleigh Street, Nottingham, England. Taking its name from the street, the ‘Raleigh Bicycle Company’ was founded in 1887. Raleigh is one of the world’s oldest and best known bike brands. Everyone remembers their first Raleigh, right? For 130 years Raleigh has been creating market-leading bikes.
